Managing Locations

LobbyCentral defines a Location as a physical building, which contains at least one queue.

Creating a Location

  1. Go to Tools > Administration > Settings - Control Panel
  2. Click Locations.
  3. In Manage Locations, click New Location.
  4. Enter the name of the location.
  5. Set the maximum customer wait time.
  6. Set the location’s time zone.
  7. Leave status set to Active.
  8. Click Save.

Modifying a Location

You must have Supervisor or Administrative access to LobbyCentral, in order to modify a location.

  1. Go to Tools > Administration > Settings - Control Panel
  2. Click Locations.
  3. In Manage Locations, find the location to update and click Modify.
  4. Make the desired changes.
  5. Click Save.

Deleting a Location

  1. Go to Tools > Administration > Settings - Control Panel
  2. In Settings, click Locations.
  3. In Manage Locations, find the location to remove and click Delete.
  4. Confirm.

Note: A location cannot be deleted once service requests have been created, or if queues or users have been assigned to it. To prevent the location from appearing in drop-down menus, change the status to Inactive.
