What's the difference between Perpetual and an Annual license?

LobbyCentral offers two types of licenses that determine how long a customer can use the software.

Perpetual License

A perpetual license is a non-expiring license that allows the customer to use the software indefinitely.  For the first year, the perpetual license also allows the customer to download updates to the software and receive technical support.

After the first year ends, the customer may choose to remain on the last version downloaded or purchase a 1-year Support & Update Subscription.   By default, Support & Update Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled by the customer.

Annual License

An annual license allows the customer to use the software, download software updates, and receive technical support for a period of one year.  After this one year period expires, the customer will no longer be able to use the software until a new annual or perpetual license is purchased.   By default, annual licenses will automatically renew until cancelled by the customer.
