Visit reasons and services, also called Service descriptions, are assigned to a queue’s drop-down menu when a new request is created. You may assign multiple queues to Visit Reasons/ Services.


Service Properties



 

Name The name of the service. Description name is limited to 100 characters.
Duration   The length of the service. This value is used when creating an appointment. The default duration is 60 minutes.
Kiosk Title  (Optional) This description will be displayed on the kiosk in place of the main description. Reports will always display the main description.
Kiosk Default If enabled, this description will appear as the default choice when the queue is selected. The customer can still choose a different description.
Add To Assigns the visit reason to a queue.
Queue Assigned Displays the queue(s) the visit reason is assigned to.
Category Used to organize descriptions into groups. Has no effect during check-in. See Data Tables in the LobbyCentral Cloud Admin Manual for more information.
Show in Kiosk? If set to False, the service description will not be displayed in the kiosk. Default is set to True.
Description Detailed description of the service. There is no size restriction in this field.
Status Indicates if the service description is active. If Inactive is selected, the visit reason will not show in the drop-down menu during check-in.



Adding A Visit Reason/ Service

  1. In Settings, click Visit Reasons & Services.
  2. In Manage Visit Reasons (Services), Click New Service.
  3. Enter the service name.
  4. (Optional) Enter the Kiosk Title.
  5. (Optional) Check box to make the service the default selection in the kiosk.
  6. In Add To, click the drop-down menu to add the service to a queue. Repeat this step until you have added the service to all required queues. Note: A Visit Reason/Service must be added to at least one queue.
  7. Select the service’s category (optional). 
  8. Enter service Description (optional).
  9. Click Save.


Note: Be sure to Assign the description/service to a queue (step 6), or it will not appear in the list of service options, when creating a request.


Modifying A Visit Reason/ Service

  1. In Settings, click Visit Reasons & Services.
  2. In Manage Visit Reasons (Services), find the service to update and click Modify.
  3. Make desired changes.
  4. Click Save.


Deleting A Visit Reason/ Service

  1. In Settings, click Visit Reasons & Services.
  2. In Manage Visit Reasons (Services), locate the service to remove and click Delete.
  3. Confirm that you want to delete the description.


Note: You cannot delete a service description once it has been used. Modify the status to Inactive to prevent it from being used.
